Play Arcade opened in August of 2020 and is owned and operated by local couple, Adam & Lauren Katz.  Adam was born and raised in Fairhaven, MA. 
He attended Fairhaven High School and then achieved his Bachelor’s degree in fine art and sculpture at UMass Dartmouth. 
After college, he relocated to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in film and stunts, which he still works in today (when he has time). 
After moving home, Adam owned a local contracting company and put lots of heart into redesigning homes and businesses. 
He also enjoys shooting photography, is an on-call firefighter in Fairhaven, and prior to the pandemic he owned a mobile ax throwing business. 
Adam also was an integral part of the design and construction of the Acushnet 9/11 memorial.  He has a love for cars, movies, and unique vintage toys.  Almost everything you see in the arcade was collected by Adam!  He is onsite during most of our operating hours leading the team
and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Lauren grew up in Acushnet, MA and went to New Bedford High School.  She attended UMass Amherst receiving a degree in Hospitality
and Tourism Management.  She’s gained experience in a variety of fields over the years including hotel and restaurant management, wedding planning, catering sales, banking, insurance, kitchen design and personal training.  Lauren works from home with her
and Adam’s two lovely kids (and one giant dog) to do our menus, events, music bookings, taxes, hiring, accounting
and many other odds and ends to manage the business.

Adam & Lauren opened the arcade to give families and friends a welcoming, safe place to hang out, eat, and have fun.
